I'm Sandra Botero, a Colombian-American surface pattern designer and the corazón y alma behind Sandra B Creative.
My designs are rooted in Colombian and Latin American culture: the folk art, saints, sacred hearts, colonial architecture, coffee farms, orchids, and gold of the land I carry with me. Every pattern I create is hand‑drawn in Procreate, layered with cultural depth, and designed with the maximalist, color‑loving home in mind.
My path to surface pattern design was anything but direct. I spent 25 years teaching Spanish and art, then built a fashion design business creating original garments from my own hand‑drawn textiles. It was fabric that changed everything. The moment I realized my illustrations could live on walls, wardrobes, and tabletops, there was no going back.
Today Sandra B Creative is a full surface pattern design studio offering coordinated collections for licensing across home décor, fashion, stationery, and tableware. My work bridges Colombian and Latin American cultural heritage with contemporary maximalist design, bold enough to stop a room, specific enough to tell a story.
My collections are available for licensing. I welcome collaborations with brands, manufacturers, and retailers who believe design should have a soul.
