I'm Sandra Botero — an artist, designer, and lifelong creative explorer. With a rich background that spans education, fashion, and the visual arts, my journey has been anything but conventional. For 25 years, I taught Spanish and art, helping students discover their own creative voices. In 2016, I turned my passion for fashion design into a side project that quickly grew into something more.
Encouraged to incorporate my own fabric designs into my clothing, I created several lines featuring original silhouettes and textile patterns — even sewing all the samples myself. While I’ve always loved designing and constructing garments, it was surface pattern design that truly captured my heart. Today, I focus on creating bold, expressive patterns for textiles and products, drawing inspiration from my Hispanic heritage and my deep love of visual storytelling.
I still take on fashion design projects, but now I work one-on-one with clients rather than producing seasonal collections. Beyond design, I proudly embrace my inner geek — comics, sci-fi, fantasy, anime, and gaming are all part of my creative fuel. I may be in my 50s (and yes, the silver hair is real), but my husband calls me a big kid — and he’s not wrong. I’m playful, passionate, and just a little obsessed with Wonder Woman.
